WHO Or WHO DOESN'T need to pass Life in the UK Test?

Case No. 1

Many people have a misconception that this test is must for all age candidates who want to apply for ILR/NATURALIZATION/BRITISH CITIZENSHIP. But my dear friends if any one is under 18 or above 65, then there is no need to go through this test.

Case No. 2

If one has already passed this test then there is no need to pass this test again. For example if one is applying to become a citizen of UK and has already passed this test as part of his/her settlement application, then there is no need to pass the test again while applying for citizenship application.

Many people are confused that this test is only valid for 2 years. But this is not the right case. They get confused because English Test B1 has validity of two years. English test B1 is a test which is also required for applications of ILR/Naturalization/Citizenship along with LITUK test. So many people take it wrong that if English Test B1 has a validity of 2 years then LITUK will also have a validity of 2 years but this is not the case. If LITUK Test is once passed by you then you can use its certification as many times as you want.

Case No. 3

If one has a long term physical or mental condition, then there is no need to pass this test provided one must provide either a form or letter from a doctor confirming physical or mental condition.

Here one point is must to mention that if someone has any type of disability (which doesn't come under exempted physical or mental condition which will be defined by the doctor), then the candidate has to go through the test and this type of candidate can make the special requests while booking the test. For example if a candidate has a disability and needs some type of extra equipment or need helps in reaching or accessing the center, these type of facilities can be availed by making special requests while applying for the test.
